I am a Midwesterner living in Colorado, spreading the Minnesota dialect one “uff da” at a time.
I grew up along the Mississippi River, spending an equal number of years in Minnesota and Wisconsin—or “Minnesconsin,” as I fondly call it. My childhood and teenage years were filled with apple picking, swimming in the river, and exploring the bluffs that stood guard on either side of it. Somewhere along the way, I developed a deep love for nature and the places that make us stop and take notice.
I attended Winona State University in Minnesota, just twenty minutes from home, where I graduated with majors in Advertising and Photography and a minor in Fine Arts.
Shortly after college, I journeyed west to Colorado, where I met my husband, Jeremiah. These days, we have a wonderfully full house here in Colorado: our beautiful adopted daughter, three dogs, two bunnies, and a cat.
It's a little chaotic, a little cozy, and exactly where I'm meant to be.

Why Photography?
There are a lot of things in life that can take us back in time—a song, a book, the way a particular candle smells, a certain food, and, among so many other things, a photograph.
Photographs are flat little time capsules. They hold memories of a person, a place, or a moment, allowing us to return to them years later. Photography can also give people a glimpse of places they may never otherwise have the opportunity to see.
But I never wanted to simply take photographs. I want my photographs to have meaning.
These days, that means a lot of photographs of my daughter, but it goes beyond that. I want people to be able to look at one of my photographs during their darkest moments and remember that there is still beauty in this world. I want them to remember that beyond the walls of whatever difficult situation they're facing, the sun is still rising on another day.
I want my photographs to give people a reason to take a fresh breath.
And I want them to make a difference.
That's why 10% of the product cost from every purchase is donated to that month's featured organization. If a photograph can bring someone a moment of peace, remind them of a beautiful place, or simply make their day a little brighter, I'd like its impact to extend beyond the walls where it's hanging.
I believe photographs can do more than decorate a wall—they can remind us of the people, places, and things worth protecting. That's why 10% of the product cost from every purchase is donated to that month's featured organization.
I've carefully selected these organizations with three things in mind: inclusivity, conservation, and community. Each organization is doing work that I believe is meaningful and worthy of support, and I want your purchase to contribute to something beyond simply bringing a photograph into your home. Each month, a different organization is selected to receive the donations from that month's purchases. For example, 10% of the product costs from all June purchases goes to The Trevor Project. This means that when you purchase from Imbeccable Images, you know exactly which organization your purchase is helping support.
I also believe in keeping this part of the business open to conversation. If you have questions about how the donations work, concerns about an organization featured here, or suggestions for an organization you think would be a good fit, I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
