Good MorningJeremy and I woke up and had breakfast at our hotel - La Quinta in Sioux Falls. It was the first non-disappointing hotel breakfast we had eaten so far on this trip. They actually had meat (sausage patties) and better, not so watery, eggs. They also served biscuits and gravy, and they had pancakes! Going to Justin'sI had to work remotely again on this day, so we made plans to hang out at Justin and Amelia's place. When we arrived, Justin quickly gave us a house tour, and we were introduced to their cats. We played a board game as I worked which we had brought along called Cascadia. Justin seemed to really enjoy the game. I took a break for lunch, and we went to a place called "Fry'n Pan". We ordered a variety appetizer that came with onion rings, mozzarella sticks, chicken strips, and cheese "balls" - which were cheese "curds" in disguise. Justin and Jeremy both ordered the patty melt, and I got a meat lover's skillet. We then returned to Justin and Amelia's place and I went into a meeting. Jeremy and Justin played two rounds of the table top game Odin's Raven while I was working. I signed off for the day, and we all went to one of Justin's favorite spots: The Pinball Room. We played on several machines, and we even got to meet one of Justin's friends, Mitchell. Justin wanted to show off downtown Sioux Falls to Jeremy and I, so we headed there when we were done playing pinball. We did stop in a few stores while we walked downtown, but there was one thing in particular that Justin really wanted us to see. Downtown Sioux Falls has a large sculpture called "Arch of Dreams", which lights up purple and green over Big Sioux River. It was really cool to see and a bit out of the way from the main downtown area, so we were extremely grateful that Justin took us to see it. We were joking around a bit as friends do, and at one point it came up that we wondered if anyone had tried climbing up the Arch of Dreams. Justin decided to give it ago. We walked back to the main downtown are and went to Blarney's Stone for drinks and dinner. I ordered chicken marsala with a zombie drink. Jeremy ordered a Belfast barnyard with an Irish beer called Magner's Irish Cider. Justin had Kickin' Chicken with an Ectoplasm drink. Justin also made sure that we all had a "breakfast shot" which were pretty good! They were a shot of Irish Whiskey with orange juice, and a little slice of breakfast sausage on the rim.
After dinner we headed back to Justin and Amelia's place where we played a game of Triple Yahtzee. By the time we were done with the game, we were all pretty tired and it was time to call it a night. Jeremy and I left, returned to our hotel room, and went to bed.
