Pictured is the the landscape of Cannon Beach, the beach named after the town it is located in. The large rock is the famous Haystack Rock. This beach is so wide, that it is one of the few beaches that car races can take place on, as seen in the opening scenes of The Goonies!
The intertidal pools around Haystack Rock and found elsewhere along the beach are protected as a State of Oregon Marine Garden.
