February 26: #BlackandWhiteEdit

Let's reopen our basic edit in Photoshop!

Just like in the last challenge, let's open up the black and white menu:

After playing with the settings, there are some things I want to change. See the image below that I'm referring to. I want the eye to be whiter, and to smooth out the nostril glare, as it's choppy in black and white.

I'll use the smudge tool to smooth the nostrils.

Since the eye is so defined, I can use the Quick Selection tool to select the eye (see below left). With the area selected, I'm going to go into the Brightness/Contrast menu and brighten the up the eye (see below right).

I brightened it just enough to match the brightness of the cheek. My black and white edit is now complete!
