Take your photographs that you took, and start filtering through them. I like to preview my photos on my Mac by going through the file folder, highlighting each file and pressing the space bar to view. You can also press the space bar on the first file, and then use the down arrow to navigate down through the photograph. If I see a photograph that has potential, I add an asterisk at the end of the file name, like in the first image to the left. The second image shows the photo in Preview.

After I add the asterisks, I open up Adobe Lightroom. Adding the asterisks makes importing the photographs go a lot faster for me, seeing as you can just select the ones with the asterisk instead of matching the file name to the ones you determined you liked. I click on the files I want to import, then import them.''

After filtering through my 18 photographs and viewing them again in Lightroom, I now have my selection narrowed down to the four images below.
