February 13: #FunEdit
We've done basic.. we've done black and white. Now we are going to go to explore our creative options!
Open your basic edited .psd file with Photoshop. Create a second copy of the layer "Background Copy" like we did yesterday for the black and white edit.
Next, go to the main menu of Photoshop, over to Filter, and down to Filter Gallery. Click on this and it will open your image in a new window. In this window, you will see a menu to the right. Explore all of your options here, you never know which one you'll love for your image!
Keep in mind while you're going through these that if you like the effect the filter has on your image, but you don't want to use it for the whole image, that only applying it to a piece of your photograph is possible. Looking through these filters is also a good way to gain inspiration for what you can do with future photographs.
The following images are the filters I found to be interesting for my image, in the following order:
If you decide to save any of them, remember to Save As... and save the file as a Photoshop file and JPEG file as we have been doing the last few days. You'll want to change the title so you don't override another file you have already saved. Have fun!
